If you bought a server to test plugins, to build, or to start a small server and you are in need of a little or a lot more speed and potential for your server, then upgrading is the smart move.

GGServers provides an affordable upgrade in the amount of RAM (Random Access Memory) your server has access to. To put it simply RAM is what your server runs on. All the information needed to run a server is loaded onto the RAM and the more there is, the more your server will be able to handle without producing Lag.

Login to your billing account at http://ggservers.com/billing.
Once you have logged in, you should be taken to your Account Overview page.
Click on SERVICES, then click on MY SERVICES.
You will be taken to the My Products & Services page.
Click on the service you wish to upgrade, then click on “Upgrade”

    You will be taken to a list of plans to choose from.

Click on the button that says “Choose Product”next to the plan you wish to upgrade to. The one you currently are running on is indicated at the top of the page.
Complete the transaction just as you did when you originally bought the server.

How To: Install Plugins on your server

Customization is one of the best things about Minecraft, there are lots of gamemodes and minigames to play, it’s just full of fun! How is this possible? Plugins! We’ll show you how to add plugins to your new server!

Introduction

First, you have to be sure that your server is running on Spigot, CraftBukkit or PaperSpigot! Remember that single vanilla can't run plugins.

To change the server type just log in in your server's control panel that at Multicraft.

Your Multicraft Credentials were emailed you shortly after purchase, so search for an email titled "Your Minecraft Server Details".

📚 How to get Plugins 📚

You can get the plugins in your Multicraft. You just need to go to:

Files
Bukkit Plugins (Plugin List) option.

Once the plugin is installed you need just to start/restart the server.

📚 Installing Plugins 📚 (Using external websites)

You can also download plugins from some websites such Bukkit or Spigot and then upload the plugins using your FTP File Access to your server's /plugins directory.

Changing your server version and type

This article will help you on how you can change your Server version and/or Server type.

Firstly, head over to the GGServers Multicraft Control Panel.

Stop your server.

When the server is stopped, click on the list next to “Server Type” and choose the version you want to use.

✔ Once is changed you need just to click on "Save" and Start your Server!

Notes:

You can switch to Spigot, CraftBukkit, PaperSpigot, Vanilla and etc.
If you wish to select a modpack, is necessary to do a Clean Installation. You can find how to do a Clean installation in our article " How to make a Clean Installation "
You can also use your own custom jar file.! -> If you wish to use your own custom jar file, please follow our How To: Upload and use a Custom Jar File article.

If you are updating your server, make sure to Create a Backup everything and then update the plugins to the latest version.

How to: Access Your Minecraft Server Files Via FTP

**NOTE: **Please keep in mind that you cannot access the FTP server with a Trial Minecraft server hosting account.

Using FileZilla

Download the FileZilla Client from the official FileZilla website: https://filezilla-project.org/download.php
Install FileZilla and open it.
Log into your Multicraft Control Panel and navigate to Files > FTP File Access.
On this page. It should show you the host address (IP Address) and the FTP username. The password is the same password you use to log in to multicraft.
Make note of that information and put it into the top bar in FileZilla, where it shows: Host, Username, Password and Port.
Click on ‘Connect’, and you should be connected to your FTP server for your Minecraft server.

Using Multicraft Webclient

Log into Multicraft Control Panel and navigate to Files > FTP File Access.

Log into the FTP area with your Multicraft password.

How to: OP Yourself on Your Minecraft Server

Log into your Multicraft Control Panel.
Make sure you’re on your servers page. On the left hand side of your Control Panel click ‘Console’.
In the text box above the console, type: ‘op ’. (*)
Either click the ‘Send’ button located to the right of the text box, or press the ‘Enter’ key on your keyboard.

Should you make changes to who has OP permissions on your server, please use the /deop command. This command can be executed by any OP player in game and it can also be executed via the console.

Decrease your TickSpeed

You can decrease your TickSpeed by using the command /gamerule randomTickSpeed 2 inside the game on your server. You will need to be an OP for this. If you don't know how to become an OP, please read our How to: OP Yourself on Your Minecraft Server article.

Decrease your server View-Distance

To decrease your View Distance:

Log into your Multicraft Panel
Click on "Servers". Go to your server.

Stop your server

Click on "Files", then "Config Files"

Click on "Server Settings".
