Getting Started - How to Access Your Project Zomboid Server and Control Panel



Have you purchased your Project Zomboid server at GGServers? Here’s how to get started!

First, GGServers offers full access to your game server control panel, where users can manage everything that happens on the server.

This article will show the first steps for joining your Project Zomboid server and using the game server panel to manage your server.

NOTE ⚠: When you start your server for the first time, you will have to add an administrator password, as explained below in this guide.


✔️ How Do I Find My Game Server Panel ✔️



To access your game server panel, you need to follow the next steps:

Log in to your billing account here.


Click on your customer's profile button, then on Email History.




Click on the first option, Your Game Server Details, and you'll see your server information and the game server panel credentials as well.


Note your credentials and go here to log in. You can find the game server panel link in the welcome email as well.




Use the credentials from the last step and log in.



Now, you've just logged in to your Project Zomboid game server panel, where you can see and manage your server.


After logging in, you will be able to find all your instances (game servers). Click on the Project Zomboid instance to see the connection details or to start or stop it. You can also click on Manage to customize and make changes to your server.




At the first server start, you will have to set an admin password for your server. After clicking on Manage in the last step, now click on Console on the left side menu, then type your password and hit the Enter key. You will have to do this twice: once to set the password and again to confirm it.

If you click on the Project Zomboid instance, then on the Manage button, a new page will open where you can fully manage your Project Zomboid server. Also, a new menu will pop up where you can select between multiple options, such as Console to see the server logs or File Manager to access your server files.




🚀 How Do I Join My Project Zomboid Server 🚀



To join your Project Zomboid server, you will have to get your connection details.

Also, keep in mind that you can join your server through Steam or in-game.


💠 Getting Your Server Details and Game Server Credentials



To get your server connection details, you need to:

Log in to your billing account here.


Click on your customer's profile button, then on Email History.

NOTE ⚠: You can also access your email history with us by clicking here.




Click on the first option, Your Game Server Details, and you'll see your server information and the game server panel credentials as well.


Copy your server connection details.




💠 Join In-Game



To join your server in-game, you will have to:

Start Project Zomboid, then click on Join.

NOTE ⚠: If you do not have any single-player worlds, you will first be prompted to create one. No worries, once it is created, you can return to the menu and click on Join.




Fill in your server details, then click on Add.

Favorite Name: Set a name for your server. Can be filled with anything.
IP: The server's IP.
Port: The server's port.
Server Password: This needs to be filled only if the owner of the server has set a password.
Account Username: Set a username for your player. Can be filled with anything.
Account Password: Set a password for the username above to protect your user properly.

NOTE ⚠: From your server connection details, the part before the colon is the IP and the part after the port.




Now your server will appear in the server list. Simply click on it and then on 'JOIN SERVER'.




💠 Join through Steam



To add your server via Steam, you need to follow the next steps:

Open your Steam client and click on View, then on Servers.

Click on FAVORITES.

Favorites


Click on Add A Server and put your server connection details (IP:Port) there in the address box. Then click on ADD THIS ADDRESS TO FAVORITES.

Now click on REFRESH, select the server you added, and click on Connect.

Now you can fully manage your Project Zomboid server and also join it!
