How to Set Up and Use Garden of Glass Mod (Skyblock World Type on Modded Servers)


This guide will properly show you how to set up and configure the Garden of Glass mod.


NOTE: The Garden of Glass is a mod so you need to be running a Forge server to be able to load it! Also, do not forget that mods and Forge need to be set up into your client as well as into the server. Here is our guide for installing mods into your client.


❓ What is Garden of Glass ❓


Garden of Glass is a mod, an addition to Botania that allows you to create a Skyblock world.


⚠ NOTE ⚠: You also need to have the mod Botania installed into your server, as Garden of Glass is an addition for this mod. You will not be able to use the Garden of Glass mod if you do not install also the Botania mod which can be found here.


This mod is working only for the following Minecraft versions:


  • 1.7.10
  • 1.8.9
  • 1.9.4
  • 1.10.2
  • 1.11.2
  • 1.12.2
  • 1.14.4
  • 1.15.2
  • 1.16.3

⚠ NOTE ⚠: This mod is used in multiple already existing modpacks to generate a Skyblock world.


🔌 How to Set Up Garden of Glass and Botania 🔌


To install the Garden of Glass and Botania mods into your server you need to do the following:


  1. Download your wished Garden of Glass and Botania versions here and here.




  1. Upload the mods to your server mods folder. We highly recommend you to upload the mods through FileZilla.



⚠ NOTE ⚠: We highly recommend you to upload the mod through FileZilla. You can find more about FileZilla in our article for using it.


  1. Restart your server.

🔩 How to Create a World Using Garden of Glass 🔩


To configure the Garden of Glass mod and create a world using it you need to do the following:


  1. Log in to your Multicraft panel, stop your server and click on Create New.




  1. Change the World Name box to anything you want, like Garden_of_Glass, and click on Create.




  1. Go back to your Multicraft main page, click on Files, then on FTP files access and log in.




  1. Click on the server.settings file (inside the root directory of the server), then click on Edit.




  1. Find and change the following line as you see below, then click on Save.


  • level-type=botania-skyblock




  1. Start the server.


Now you just generated a Garden of Glass world.
