How to Add an Icon to Your Minecraft Server




If you want to set a custom icon for your server on the in-game server list, but don’t know-how, you’re in the right place.

The icon is the image that is displayed when you add a server to your client.

We also have a video tutorial for adding an icon to your server.





🔬 Preparing Your Icon 🔬



Please note that your icon has to meet up the following requirements:

It needs to be 64x64 pixels in size
It needs to be a .png file extension
It needs to be called server-icon.png


To prepare your icon you need to:

Save the picture you want to use, then open the following page.


Click on Browse and select your image, then click on Upload Image.




Select 64 x 64 at the Select in Size campus, then click on Capture & Preview.




Download your new PNG icon and rename it to server-icon.png.


🖼️ Setting Up Your Icon 🖼️



To set up your server icon you can either use our Icon Tool, either upload it manually to your server files.


💠 The Icon Tool



To upload your icon we will be using the icon tool.

Here is what you need to do:

Log in to your Multicraft here and stop your server.


Click on Appearance, then on Server Icon.




Click on Choose File, choose your icon, then click on Upload Icon.




Start your server.

Now you just uploaded your icon to your server.


💠 Uploading the Icon Manually



To upload your icon manually you need to:

Log in to your Multicraft here and stop your server.


Click on Files, then on FTP files access, and log in.




Click on Upload File, select your icon, and upload it to your root directory of the server.



NOTE: The root directory of the server is the one that contains all other files and folders.


Start your server.

Now you just uploaded manually your icon.
